With Pilz – a leading supplier of machinery safety products, consultancy, engineering and training – he has accumulated experience in a wide variety of industries and applications, including robot and HRC cells.
Brambley is the Chief Executive of GAMBICA, the trade association for instrumentation, control, automation and laboratory technology in the UK. He leads GAMBICA in being a highly collaborative and influential organisation, engaging with a diverse range of stakeholders including UK and European governments, associations, institutions, industry & manufacturing, media & events companies and standards bodies. He brings more than 13 years of trade association experience at GAMBICA with roles in public affairs and the industrial automation sector.
Brambley also brings previous experience from the automotive industry, having worked for the Michelin Tyre Company and the Dana Corporation in management roles across manufacturing, quality, logistics and engineering. He has a degree in Mechanical Engineering from Loughborough University.
He is passionate about the positive influence that technology can bring to UK industry, with a view to generating growth and increasing the contribution to the UK economy.

Most of those have been involved with Machine Vision and has been actively involved in the developing technology that is moving the Vision world forward beyond new capabilities. Recently elected UKIVA Vice Chair, he now is helping to drive the innovation and education of the many benefits that Machine Vision can bring to the UK Industrial World. Especially within Robotics. Being at SICK for over 15 years, the experience can help bring the total Vision and Automation solution to life to assist in many applications in a wide variety of industries.
Norman started working at OAL after graduating from the University of Bristol. Having previously worked for Deloitte in both audit and consultancy streams, he recognised that he could make the biggest impact in an innovative SME. Jake leads a diverse engineering team automating component weighing with robotics.
An experienced chartered director, Williamson is MD of R A Rodriguez (UK) and RARUK Automation. Since joining the organisation in 2001, he has worked closely with end users from SMEs to large multinationals to provide automation solutions to their production facilities, either directly or in close cooperation with machine builders and integrators.
Automata Technologies’ vision is to democratise robotic automation by providing affordable and easy-to-use robotic arms. The company was founded by Suryansh Chandra and Mostafa Elsayed in May 2015. They are both trained architects, and at the time worked for the same company, focused on design, technology and digital manufacturing. Their journey started when they were researching using robotic arms in the construction industry, which highlighted the lack of affordable, easy-to-use robotic arms for research. This marked the start of their frustration, and that’s when they decided to go into robotics and build something for themselves.
Dan Rossek is the UK Marketing Manager for Omron Electronics, a global supplier of automation solutions and robotics systems. Passionate about technology and innovation, he has spent his entire working career in the field of automation within the industrial manufacturing environment. Since graduating 18 years ago with a degree in Manufacturing Systems Engineering, he has worked in a number of roles from technical support, application engineering, product management and marketing. Throughout his career, he has had exposure to a wide range of automation disciplines from industrial sensing, machine vision, automation control, drives and robotics.
In his role as Director of Editorial, Mead is responsible for the editorial content across an expanding portfolio of print, digital, online and social media outlets which form Datateam Business Media’s Industrial Division. Mead is currently also Editor of Automation magazine, the leading authority on automated manufacturing technology, integrated services and smart solutions, a position he’s held for over ten years. He has a keen interest in robotics and automation technology and has organised and presented at a number of events on these subjects.
